Committed to helping others through their own journey
I’m passionate about helping people learn how to process their emotions, build better communication skills, learn about themselves, and navigate difficult times in life. I believe in providing a safe space where folks can be themselves and where we can foster their desired change together.
I employ an often casual and humanistic-based approach which many have found to be helpful in putting them at ease. I have experience working with people of all ages from 4 to 70+. I enjoy working with anxiety, life transitions (i.e. career changes, divorce, family changes), relationships, communication skills, boundary-setting, substance use disorders, and issues surrounding self-esteem and self-worth. My focuses are on individuals and couples. I am LGBTQ+ aware and affirming, often working with individuals who are trans and/or exploring their gender identities.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Women's Studies from the University of Delaware and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University (now a part of National University). I am experienced working in various clinical settings such as school counseling services, non-profit clinics, community mental health agencies, and private practices throughout Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and Alameda Counties.
I am currently not paneled with any insurance providers but can provide clients with a superbill upon request should you choose to seek out-of-network reimbursement. I strongly urge clients to check with their insurance provider beforehand about policies for reimbursement if seeing a therapist out-of-network.
If you feel that you are ready to take the next step with therapy and explore more about yourself or what you may be struggling with presently, please contact me for a free 15-minute phone consultation.
